Chris and Mattie were referred to me by Chris’ mother, whom I have worked with in the past.
Chris and Mattie called me with big plans: a 3 week vacation to Europe. 21 solid days in London, Paris and Munich. They didn’t have any ideas on where to stay or what to do, they just knew that this would be their epic adventure before they started to have kids.
Mattie is a HUGE Harry Potter fan, so she definitely wanted to go on the tour of the WB studio outside of London. I mentioned that the Palace Theater was showing the new Broadway show, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (2 parts), and that we could get tickets. She was thrilled! And they ended up sitting on the floor less than 10 rows from the stage.
After a few weeks of back and forth ideas we settled on 7 days in each city. They would use the trains to get from city to city and they would navigate the public transportation systems to get around each city. All of their hotels were centrally located, but to have so much time in each city meant that they could do a lot of exploring!
They went on several small-group tours including:
- the Tower of London
- Windsor, Stonehenge, and Bath
- an exclusive dinner at the restaurant at the Eiffel Tower
- guided visit of the Louvre prior to opening
- Castles in the Loire valley
- beer and food tour in Munich
- Neuschwanstein castle
I spoke with Chris and Mattie when they returned – we talked for about an hour! Chris enjoyed Munich and bought Lederhosen (ha) and Mattie really enjoyed London the best.
Mattie wrote a review on my Facebook page and loaded several pictures of their vacation. You can see them here.
