Destination Wedding Elopement at Couples Tower Isle

Destination Wedding at Couples Tower Isle

Emily and Jared contacted me in July 2018.

At the time, they were living in California, but were planning on moving to Nashville, Tennessee, before the end of the year.

After discussing wedding options between themselves and their family, Emily and Jared decided that they wanted to elope on December 31!

They knew that they wanted the easiest option, so in this case, that meant choosing one of the pre-set wedding packages that an all-inclusive resort offered.

After a few days of back and forth where I presented options and gave them information on what it takes to get married out of country, they chose Couples Tower Isle in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

From talking with Emily I knew that this laid-back all-inclusive with simple, retro-chic decor would suit them well!

The happy couple was assigned a wedding coordinator, Jillian, through Couples. Jillian did not work directly at the resort. She was located off-site and specifically works for the wedding department only. To be honest, that makes it nice from a planning perspective to have one person dedicated to a couple and not several people involved in their preparations.

In the meantime, Emily and Jared chose to stay in a Premier Ocean room which is located in the main building and gives a great, unobstructed view of the ocean.

Their elopement package included the basics: wedding officiant, simple flowers, small cake, location of ceremony in the garden or on the beach, one 8×10 photo, etc. They ended up adding on the option to stream the ceremony so their friends and family could watch, a small picture package, and a private brunch.

Before they left I sent them their travel documents and a re-cap of their wedding package with add-ons, so when they met with the wedding coordinator on-property they would be prepared.  I also talked to them over the phone to answer any last minute questions.  They were super excited to be on their way!

Since I had just been at Couples Tower Isle in September 2018 I sent the resort manager an email asking that they take “special care” of our mutual clients.  And they sure did!

Upon Emily and Jared’s return we had a great conversation about their stay and their wedding.  They sent me a few pictures and I watched their video from their ceremony.  So cute!

It was a pleasure to work with them and I hope to be able to send them back to Couples Tower Isle for their anniversary!

Are you considering eloping?  Contact me here with any questions!
